NICE THINGS

Having left school without a single GCSE and after developing a complete loathing of Public Speaking at college, Eve was surprised to discover that she actually loved being in front of an audience, speaking about her life and talking about the various topics/causes that are close to her heart.  Over the last ten years, she has been humbled by some of the lovely things people have said and written about her.  She hopes you don't mind her sharing some of them with you.
"Thanks for coming on the show - you have a naturalness on air which I have always thought...  plus  there is a tinge of excitement and fun in your voice".   Tim Gillett, Programme Editor, BBC Essex
A note from Eve:   I am very lucky! Since 2008, I have been giving my talks to all sorts of organisations and thankfully they have been well received and there have been multiple rebookings.  Today (2/3/2022) I gave my new talk "I Blame It On the Beatles" to Rayleigh U3A and an audience of almost 200 members. I was  totally overwhelmed by the amazing comments from a number of people who came up to chat afterwards which included "Just fabulous", "A superbly delivered talk", "Brought back so many memories so well", "You did good" and "Just perfect" and many more.   Thank you Rayleigh for making my day!
It was a pleasure to have you with us all yesterday…you are a very good speaker and I thought our Group stayed remarkably focused…a compliment to yourself! Thank you again for your time and we look forward to seeing you again in November!   Wendy Ruggles, Maldon  & Dengie Stroke Support Group.
Eve Regelous gave our history group a very informative and amusing talk "Everything Stops for Tea".  Her enthusiasm and enjoyment for the subject bubbled over as she regaled us with fascinating facts, the many and varied types and colours of tea available throughout the world and how tea bags were developed.   Anything you want to know about tea and related accessories, Eve has the answer.  Her warm and friendly manner held us spellbound - and wanting more.   If anyone is looking for an interesting talk with a great speaker, look no further.   Stan Kordys - Chairman, Lexden History Group.
As always, a very informative and well delivered talk.  We had our highest viewing figure and everyone enjoyed it.  We look forward to a talk in person.
Mandy Fox, Harold Wood WI (Talk on Zoom)

Thank you so much for your most informative talk this afternoon, we really enjoyed it  We learned a lot of new facts and were all amazed at the cost of each of the Royal Bride's dresses - oh to be a Princess.   We hope to book you again in the near future.    Denise Wells, Booking Secretary,  Walthambury WI
(Talk on Zoom)

May I thank you for attending our meeting yesterday. I must say I personally so thoroughly enjoyed your talk, it was interesting and informative plus I had nothing but positive feedback from many members, who with their own memories and experiences regarding Harrods, contributed to such a brilliant afternoon for us all, Thank you!!   I look forward to seeing you again in the near future and hearing another uplifting talk,  Gillian Reeves, Speaker Secretary, Brentwood, U3A
Just to say a big thank you for yesterday.  The members really enjoyed the talk and all the jokes. It was wonderful. Suzette Barry, Organiser, Redbridge & Waltham Forest NHS Retirement Fellowship
Thank you for your kind thoughts. I understand you had them all in the palm of your hand. Wendy enjoyed your talk, came home full of praise. Look forward to seeing you next year, will arrange date soon. Thanks & best wishes Joyce Scott, QUOGS, Billericay
Your 'Tea' talk was brilliant.  I thank you on behalf of all the ladies. Your quiz went down a treat too - very clever.   Linda Mara, Programme Secretary, Distaff Club, Canvey Island.
Your talk was a roaring success. It was yellow smiley faces all the way and not a dissenting smiley face in site,  Our secretary, who was sitting behind me, absolutely loved it  and I could hear her laughing out loud,   As for your Elvis story, I had no idea one of them was a member's brother in law.  She is quite a serious lady and never said so for it to come out of the blue like that was hilarious.   Talk about everything has its moment.  Eve Regelous, you are top of the class. Don't you change and don't change a thing.    Sandra Argent,  Reservoir Rebels (SHWI)
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed your talk and will surely get another invite.  You are so talented and a really spirited raconteur!   Your enthusiasm for your subject came across and a nearby person said "what an interesting life which makes her (Eve) an interesting person".  Your talk was a breath of fresh air, light hearted and fun.   Diana, Guest at Strood WI
Just writing to say how much everyone at our WI Group Meeting enjoyed your History of Harrods talk on Thursday - the feedback has been fulsome to say the least.  It seems that everyone's dream is to shop or even work at Harrods and your descriptions of various events held the audience entranced.  Furthermore, the history was interesting as lots of the members had lived through these times mentioned particularly the Princess Diana connection with regard to Mr. Al Fayed.   Your talk was not only fun and informative but also your attention to detail regarding our whole event  exceptional.  The handouts, which every member took away, were entertaining and relevant and the quiz you devised regarding the talk was lots of fun for the members and guests.   It was also good of you to make an effort to stop at each table and chat while leaving the hall which often other speakers don't take the trouble to do.   The feedback from members has been very positive and this event will be remembered as a great success!  - Felicity Cripps   (Secretary Barnston WI Group Meeting)
I can't thank you enough for the fantastic talk. Lots and lots of positive feed back, which is always a feather in my cap - Pat Kelly, Dunmow U3A
Thank you so much for your really interesting talk.  You had the biggest number of members attending and you had them eating out of your hand.  A masterclass in public speaking.  -  Haverhill U3A
We were greatly entertained by your stories, facts and revelations, all delivered with such verve and charm.  The audience was fascinated and left greatly enlightened and intrigued by your experiences.  The whole Committee joins me in sending you our sincere thanks.  -  Jane Barnett, Secretary, Westcliff and District W.I.Z.O.
Thank you for such a fabulous talk.  So much information imparted in an amusing and interesting way, it kept everyone riveted for the full hour and wanting more.  The feedback from our members afterwards was great, they loved it.  -  Sue Smith, The Ipswich Institute
The show ran so smoothly, Eve, and that is no mean feat, all things considered, especially with some bossy, grey haired woman, who was dripping wet, kept changing things and asking you to say this and that.  We at Greyhound Walks are way, way, way, grateful for your wonderful MC-ing, professionalism and patience.  -  Janet Peacock, Founder, Greyhound Walks
Thank you so much for coming today and giving so much pleasure to our group.  Your presentation was first class.  It’s so good to laugh and hear about someone’s fascinating life.  You made it sound so easy but I suspect that there was a lot of hard work and hours of practise for you.  -  Alfreda Thistlethwaite, Diss Ladies Luncheon Club
On behalf of everyone at the Matching Friendly Club, I would like to thank you for visiting us, you certainly entertained the members and they thoroughly enjoyed your talk.  -  Pat Baines, Secretary
Thank you ever so much for such an enjoyable evening.  Your talk was all we could have hoped for and more!  -  Holli, WIGS Speakers Co-ordinator and The Big Wig's Committee
Everyone had a good evening and enjoyed your entertaining talk.  Some people have asked if we could do it again next year.  -  Colin Knights, Chairman, Friends of Frinton Theatre
The MC kept everyone up to date with the changes in schedule, invited people to spend money on the stalls and visit the various re-homing stands, all delivered in a lovely, clear, casual way.  -  Rob Tiffin, Chairman, Greyhound Walks
Eve gave us a most interesting talk about her life as a Celebrity Booking Agent interspersed with "behind the scenes gossip" and Peter entertained us very well at our Christmas Party.  Altogether a very talented pair.  -  South Woodham Ferrers WI (an extract from the SWF Press)
A big thank you for your help, support and sheer inspiration.  You have helped Elm Park "shine" more than you can ever imagine.  -  Ingrid Brandon, Elm Park Regeneration Project
You are the best show commentator I have ever heard.  How you kept it all together under the circumstances was amazing.  -  Sheena Clarke, Visitor, Greyhound Walks Show 2014
Thank you so much for a brilliant evening, enjoyed by us all.  Thanks again for stepping in at short notice.  -  Irene Lester, St Luke's Church of England Ladies Group
I would like to thank you on behalf of our committee and members for what was a very enjoyable and interesting talk.   We are a friendly bunch and most of our speakers escape unscathed, so I do hope to see you again soon.  - David Bailey, Clacton & District Fuchsia Society.
We have had people doing the announcements other years and I haven't been able to understand what they were saying, but this year I could understand everything you said.  You are a real pro.  -  Claire Reilly, Committee Member, Greyhound Walks Show 2014
There are Speakers and then there's Eve!   - Guest at St Barnabas Ladies Club, Old Heath  (Footnote:  I hope this means it was ok!  Eve)
You are such a brilliant speaker and your presentations are always delivered with verve and enthusiasm. - Guest at the Haverhill Ladies Forum
We had this excellent speaker last night, she was talking about Harrods.  She  had books and bears and a big banner showing lots of photos.  It was really interesting and entertaining. - Overheard in a café following a talk at Abberton and Langenhoe Ladies Circle (Thank you ladies, whoever you are - Eve)
